Fire started from behind the wall damaged kitchen cabinets

Any size fire can leave smoke damage in your home or business. Recently SERVPRO of Manahawkin was called to restore a townhome in Beach Haven. A kitchen fire destroyed the cabinets and surrounded the home with smoke leaving behind the trail of soot. Not only does a fire leave soot, the odor of the fire penetrants or adheres to surfaces, clothing, etc. 

Our drew arrived on site shortly after the fire was extinguished and was able to evaluate the extent and type of damage present. Cleaning and deodorization procedures will vary depending on the type of soot generated by the fire, the affected surface, and its severity, light, medium, or heavy. Once the residues are identified and classified, a cleaning protocol is developed.

Utilizing a variety of wet and dry methods, cleaning is always performed first, followed by various deodorization techniques and or removal of affected materials that are beyond cleaning.
